We are thinking about the Olympics in preparation for our assembly in a couple of weeks. We need to know which sports are in the London 2012 Olympics. Can you find some out? How many people are in a team? What equipment do they need? Take a look at the Olympic website and find out some facts.

Well, for those who like football, what an amazing end to the Premiership season! The two big Manchester giants battling it out for champions!
There was a very happy ‘Thomas’ household yesterday! I bet Kyle and Sam in our class were happy too!

It is important we read EVERY day. We do this to improve our VOCABULARY (words) and EXPRESSION (how we say the words).
We read for pleasure and to learn. We read FICTION and NON-FICTION.
Tell me about the book you are reading now. It may be a book from the school library or from our own class book corner. What is it about? It it a story book or an information book? Would you recommend it to someone else? Lets share our ideas.

Mrs Thomas is sick with a grown up version of chicken pox! She is feeling really sad about not being at school and would love to hear ways of how she can cheer herself up. Can you think of anything she could do? She can’t leave the house as she doesn’t want anyone else to catch it? Write down your ideas.
